3 Great Things About Today

As represented by 3 of Liv's shoes (the green from grandma, the pink camo from me and the silver sandal from Auntie Lexi)

#1 - Andy and Mom are in town!!!! and they decided they must try out for a Chorus Line.

Seriously, we had a fun night...went for an outstanding burger at the Father's Office and then to a Chorus Line in honor of mom's bday. Andy is still singing Singular Sensation two hours later.

#2 - I received confirmation that my dossier has made it to Ethiopia! Showing support, Andy busts out his Ethiopia T for bedtime and Rocky goes wild. And by the way, I love that he has this t-shirt independent of my adoption.

#3 - Mom brought home a special gifts (including the green shoes above) for Liv from Mexico. Mi gusto mucho.

and I'll throw in pics of the pups (Bluebird and Rocky) because they are just so darn cute...

Flag Meaning:

The colored stripes on the Ethiopian flag are significant - the red stripe stands for power, faith and blood; the yellow symbolizes peace, natural wealth and love; and the green represents the land and hope. The colors were also interpreted to have a connection to the Holy Trinity, and the three main provinces of Ethiopia. The star represents unity of the people and the races that make up Ethiopia. The five rays on the outside of the star represent prosperity and the blue disk represents peace.
The three equal horizontal bands of green (top), yellow, and red with a yellow pentagram and single yellow rays emanating from the angles between the points on a light blue disk centered on the three bands; Ethiopia is the oldest independent country in Africa, and the three main colors of her flag were so often adopted by other African countries upon independence that they became known as the pan-African colors.
